Invitation Psalm 84:10

"Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked."

Quiet

Bible Song Psalm 118:24-29

The Lord has done it this very day;
let us rejoice today and be glad.

Lord, save us!
Lord, grant us success!

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
From the house of the Lord we bless you.

The Lord is God,
and he has made his light shine on us.

With boughs in hand, join in the festal procession
up to the horns of the altar.

You are my God, and I will praise you;
you are my God, and I will exalt you.

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his love endures forever.

Bible Reading Proverbs 30:5-9

"Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.

Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar.

"Two things I ask of you, Lord; do not refuse me before I die:

Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread.

Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, 'Who is the Lord?' Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God."

Quiet

Dwelling

Remind yourself you are in God's presence and read again ... notice how God might be speaking to you through his Word — dwell on a word or phrase that jumps out at you ... let your heart respond to God in prayer ... take refreshment in God's presence.

Prayer WLC 147

God of all good, the hunger for more plunders our world bare, so I pray to know the meaning of enough. Free me from any sense of scarcity; give me such a full contentment with all you've given to me, such a generous spirit toward my neighbor, that the only thing I can't get enough of is seeking the good of others and the honor of your name. In the name of Jesus, amen.

Blessing Matthew 5:9

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God."
