Invitation Nahum 1:7

"The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him."

Quiet

Bible Song Psalm 66:1-4, 16-20

Shout for joy to God, all the earth!
Sing the glory of his name;
make his praise glorious.

Say to God, "How awesome are your deeds!
So great is your power
that your enemies cringe before you.

All the earth bows down to you;
they sing praise to you,
they sing the praises of your name."...

Come and hear, all you who fear God;
let me tell you what he has done for me.

I cried out to him with my mouth;
his praise was on my tongue.

If I had cherished sin in my heart,
the Lord would not have listened;

but God has surely listened
and has heard my prayer.

Praise be to God,
who has not rejected my prayer
or withheld his love from me!

Bible Reading Deuteronomy 4:1-2, 5, 9

Now, Israel, hear the decrees and laws I am about to teach you. Follow them so that you may live and may go in and take possession of the land that the Lord, the God of your ancestors, is giving you. Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you...

See, I have taught you decrees and laws as the Lord my God commanded me, so that you may follow them in the land you are entering to take possession of it...

Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.

Quiet

The Lord's Prayer

Prayer BC 29

Great God, make your church a magnificent witness to the nations, a wise and understanding people. Mark us with generous faith — a community that follows your commands and avoids evil, a people who single-mindedly love you and their neighbors. May your church be the cause of joy in the world. In Christ's name, amen.

Blessing Matthew 11:29-30

"Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
