Invitation Lamentations 3:25-26

"The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord."

Quiet

Bible Song Psalm 47:1-7

Clap your hands, all you nations;
shout to God with cries of joy.

For the Lord Most High is awesome,
the great King over all the earth.

He subdued nations under us,
peoples under our feet.

He chose our inheritance for us,
the pride of Jacob, whom he loved.

God has ascended amid shouts of joy,
the Lord amid the sounding of trumpets.

Sing praises to God, sing praises;
sing praises to our King, sing praises.

For God is the King of all the earth;
sing to him a psalm of praise.

Bible Reading Luke 8:22-25

One day Jesus said to his disciples, "Let us go over to the other side of the lake." So they got into a boat and set out. As they sailed, he fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger.

The disciples went and woke him, saying, "Master, Master, we're going to drown!"

He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. "Where is your faith?" he asked his disciples.

In fear and amazement they asked one another, "Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him."

Prayer BC 26

Master Jesus: in the stormy waves of life I have no one else more prominent or powerful to turn to than you, who sits at the right hand of the Father and has all power in heaven and earth. Thank you that I can boldly pray, knowing I am heard because you are God's dearly loved Son. Amen.

Blessing Psalm 33:22

"May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in you."
