Invitation — Ephesians 5:14
"Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you."
Bible Song — Psalm 86:1-7
Hear me, Lord, and answer me,
for I am poor and needy.
Guard my life, for I am faithful to you;
save your servant who trusts in you.
You are my God; have mercy on me, Lord,
for I call to you all day long.
Bring joy to your servant, Lord,
for I put my trust in you.
You, Lord, are forgiving and good,
abounding in love to all who call to you.
Hear my prayer, Lord;
listen to my cry for mercy.
When I am in distress, I call to you,
because you answer me.
Bible Reading — John 10:1-6
"Very truly I tell you Pharisees, anyone who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber. The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger's voice." Jesus used this figure of speech, but the Pharisees did not understand what he was telling them.

The Lord's Prayer
Prayer — CD 1.7
Electing God, I'd like to think I had the good sense to choose you, but in reality it was your sheer grace that sought me out. In my salvation, I felt like I was turning to you, only to realize that you were already watching and calling out to me. Today help me to hear the whisper from beyond time — your voice calling my name, reminding me I am chosen and loved in Christ, saved to serve him. Amen.
Blessing — Hebrews 13:20-21
"Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen."
